Vintage Flight, large

A vintage Flight large propeller hand-sculpted in wood and finished in a smooth, aged patina, this large 186cm World War I propeller shows right aerodynamic angles with its sharp ends that swoop out elegantly. At one time flight was all about wood and canvas, and even bamboo. It dates back to a time when pioneers conquered the air. A local cabinetmaker busy with the fuselage, a cane weaver making a cabin fauteuil. The flight was basically done with a handle to pull and a couple of calibers to check. There is no GPS yet. Visual sighting by identifying roads and churches. Fans of the first flights will welcome a new and tempting replica of a metal-clad propeller.
