The island of Ireland is 500km long and 300km wide, but with a 1:3 (water/land) ratio, it seems like anywhere you go, you're going to find the perfect spot to cast your rod.
Even the climate is kind to the fisherman, mild summers, mild winters, and moderate rainfall throughout the year. The warm current of the North Atlantic, which blows towards the southwest coast, because the climate is more temperate than would be expected from its geographical location.
The result is a wonderful mix of warm and cold water fish, capable of exciting both the expert angler, as well as the novice, who simply wants to spend a family vacation.
