Propeller Wood WWI, large
Propeller Wood WWI, large. All the planes that took to the skies during World War I and the 1920s had wooden propellers. Mounted on the shaft of huge six- to twelve-cylinder engines, the engine was started by giving the propeller a solid spin. The first wooden propellers are often the only surviving artifacts from ancient aircraft, and the old ones are rare and expensive. Our reproduction is handmade in solid pine wood, exactly the same as the originals. It makes a beautiful wall decoration at a surprisingly affordable cost.
